Turn six invisible scents into distinct emotional worlds. Each film needed to express its fragrance through atmosphere and feeling, giving visitors a way into the scent before and while they experienced it at the booth.

The creative starting point was scent’s connection to memory and imagination. Familiar elements of nature could give people something to recognise, while unexpected scale and shapes invited them to imagine somewhere entirely new.

Each fragrance becomes an undiscovered version of Earth, as if nature had followed a different timeline. Oversized flowers, building-sized trees and distorted organic forms create the world, while a human presence gives it emotion. The focus stays on the feeling of the scent, without product shots.

I began by smelling each fragrance and reading its brief, then shaped the art style, lighting and colours around its character. I generated reference images with GPT 2, refined them in Photoshop, created the video with Seedance 2.5 and edited in CapCut. The films were designed for an experience visitors could watch and listen to while smelling the fragrances.

The films were shown at Beautyworld and on the Identiscents website. Feedback from the Identiscents team described this as their best booth to date, with the films contributing to the experience. Multiple visitors also described experiencing the fragrances in a new light when scent and film were paired.
